Privacy Policy – FlexiCard App

Effective from: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to the FlexiCard mobile application (the "App"), created by Lubomír Merta (the "Service Provider") as a free service. The App is provided on an "as is" basis.

What Data the App Processes

The App is used to manage loyalty and discount cards. All data you enter into the App — cards and their codes, photos of the front and back of a card, the chosen logo (whether from the built-in library or a custom image), and notes on a card — is stored exclusively locally on your device. The Service Provider has no access to this data, and the App does not send it to any server of its own.

The App contains no analytics, marketing, or advertising tools for collecting data and does not communicate with any third-party servers to track user behavior.

No registration or entry of personal data is required to use the App.

Data Backup

The App optionally allows you to create a backup of your data — locally, or automatically after signing in to Google Drive (available on both Android and iOS) or iCloud (Apple devices only), or to another storage location connected as a file system on your device (for example, your own NAS, Dropbox, or another cloud service). Signing in and granting consent to access the App's private folder applies only to backups on Google Drive or iCloud; for a NAS or other storage, the App simply saves the backup to a location already available in your device's file system.

Before being saved, all backup data (local and cloud) is fully encrypted using PBKDF2 and AES-GCM, with a password you choose yourself that must be at least 12 characters long. The Service Provider does not know this password and has no access to either the encryption key or the contents of the backup — only the user who knows the password can decrypt it. Please note that if you forget your password, the backup cannot be recovered or decrypted, even by the Service Provider.

Storage of data with third-party providers (Google, Apple, your NAS operator, or another cloud service) is further governed by their own privacy policies.

Sharing Data with Third Parties

Other than the optional backup described above, to storage you choose yourself, the App does not send any data to third parties. The Service Provider does not sell, share, or otherwise disclose any data.

Security

Data stored in the App is protected by the App's optional biometric or PIN lock, which you can enable at your discretion. All backups are additionally encrypted as described above (PBKDF2 and AES-GCM) with a password known only to you. This minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to your data, even in the event your device is lost or stolen.

Your Rights

Because all data remains under your control — locally on your device, or in your own storage (Google Drive, iCloud, NAS, or another cloud service) — you retain full control over it. You may modify or delete it at any time directly in the App, or by deleting the backup from your chosen storage. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data from your device.

If you nevertheless have questions about your personal data under the GDPR (e.g., the right of access, rectification, or erasure), please contact the Service Provider at legal@flexicard.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) at www.uoou.cz.

Children

The App is intended for the general public, and the Service Provider does not actively collect or process personal data from any users, including children. Unintentional disclosure of personal data (for example, a card number or photo) could only occur through its manual transmission or sharing by another person — the Service Provider has no control over or visibility into such an action. We recommend that parents and legal guardians advise children not to share their card details with anyone they do not trust.

Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time, for example in connection with changes to the App's features. You will be notified of any changes by an update to this document, indicating the new effective date. Continued use of the App after such changes are published constitutes acceptance of them.

By using the App, you consent to the processing of data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
